“Odd Job” Moving Vinyl Flooring From Cooroy To Maleny

We had an urgent request from a woman who runs a dance school to deliver some flooring from Cooroy to Maleny.

At the Upkeepers, we receive many unusual requests for jobs that “fall out of the box”. If you need a task completed, it’s worth contacting us to see if it’s something we can assist with. Just fill out the “Odd Jobs” form here.

These flooring rolls are about 40kg each. They are specially designed for dancing. This dance school, Light Up The Stage, had a dancing competition function at the Maleny Community Centre. They needed to be all set up on the Friday before the competition. Then after it was complete on Sunday night, all the flooring packed up and delivered back to Cooroy.

It’s an unusual job because most removalists wouldn’t be able to assist with this. Most removal services will have a 2 man team with at least a 3 tonne truck. An odd job like this only requires one person with a trolley and a ute or trailer. The numbers simply don’t stack up if a second person is on the job.

What Did We Do?

One of the Upkeepers was able to assist and help them get this job done. He turned up to the site at Cooroy, collected the flooring. A trolley was necessary due to the weight. The flooring rolls were loaded up onto a ute and delivered to the site at Maleny on the Sunshine Coast. The flooring rolls were loaded into the venue. In the venue, our crew member helped setup the staging and provided general labour to help make sure it was all setup. The crew member returned Sunday evening to assist with disassembling and delivering back to Cooroy.

In Conclusion

The event went well and the client was very happy with the assistance that the Upkeepers crew member provided.
